Marjorie Coote Animal Charity Trust
Charity number: 208493
Charity number: 208493
The Marjorie Coote Animal Charity Trust was established by Marjorie Wike Coote in 1954, to be applied by the Trustees in their absolute discretion, for the benefit of charitable organisations which have as their main purpose the care and protection of horses, dogs or other animals or birds.
It is the policy of the Trustees to support research into animal health problems and the protection of the species, whilst continuing to apply a proportion of the income to general animal welfare. No grants are given to individuals.
The Trustees prefer applications where:
Charities are registered in the UK and have up to date independently examined accounts.
Charities clearly demonstrate an active re-homing and rehabilitation policy for rescued animals (unless endangered)
Charities are involved with the conservation of wildlife and with the direct protection of endangered species
Priority is not given to:
Charities who import dogs or other animals
Charities without a realistic destruction policy for animals without a reasonable quality of life (medical or behavioural)
Charities where the majority, or a disproportionate amount, of funds are spent on administration
Applications should be made by email during the month of September and will be considered thereafter at the Annual Meeting of the Trustees of the Marjorie Coote Animal Charity Trust. The Trust does not have an Application Form.
